Wells-Engberg Air Touch Linear Pneumatic Hand Control

Push straight forward for braking

Pull straight back for acceleration

Air Touch Linear Pneumatic Hand Control by Wells-Engberg. This Air Touch Linear Pneumatic hand control is designed for vehicles equipped with power steering, power brakes and automatic transmissions .Instead of a joystick moving in an arc, the linear joystick moves straight line push forward for brake and pull straight back for acceleration. This allows better feedback and more precise control with less air consumption. Since the cylinders attach behind the dash and to the pedal arms, there are no bulky boxes or linkages to interfere with wheelchairs or able-bodied drivers.

SECONDARY BRAKE: The Linear Pneumatic control is equipped with a continuously charged secondary brake system. The secondary brake is activated at the end of the brake stroke. The system has its own small reservoir and can be used in case of primary system problems. JOYSTICK BRAKE: Special grips and hand-holding devices can be ordered or fabricated and easily attached to the threaded linear control arm. The joystick box comes with an adjustable armrest and can be installed on the left or right side. CONTROL BOX : Includes a green light "systems go" and red light "low pressure" warning with an audible alarm. An integral pressure gauge is a secondary system status along with an hour meter to monitor system maintenance intervals. 5 amp and 20 amp circuit breaker switches are integral for system power. COMPRESSOR BOX: Is installed behind the rear seats and supplies continuous operating pressure. It includes the system filter to eliminate water and particulates from the compressed air and the accumulator (storage tank) as the emergency back-up.
